WWIII Vocalist MANDY LION: In Writing Mode

July 17, 2007

Vocalist Mandy Lion (WWIII, WICKED ALLIANCE) has issued the following update:

"The writing for the new [WWIII] CD is going great! The sound of the new CD is somewhat of a back-to-the-roots vibe. Very heavy, of course (how could it not be?) but a bit more rock and roll than the last CD. The producer for the new disc is Mickey James, whom you might know from his work with Criss Angel. Usually I end up calling my producers 'reducers,' but in his case that is definitely not the case. In fact, I am very much looking forward to working with this man in the studio.

"Many of you have also asked about when I will tour again. It looks like 12 weeks from now I will be able to start visiting my friends again! As soon as the new CD is finished, me and the boys will hit the road for a much bigger tour which I am sure will take me into just about every area of the U.S."

Mandy Lion recently completed a number of U.S. shows with the following lineup:

Mandy Lion - Vocals
Rick Plester - Guitar
Jon Purpura (DRIVEN BY HATE) - Bass
Pete Holmes (MSG, TED NUGENT, IAN GILLAN) - Drums

WWIII's first album in 12 years, "When God Turned Away", was released in 2003. The CD featured Lion, co-producer Joe Floyd on guitar, Geezer Montez on bass and Sledge on drums.
